Sistemas Agroflorestais para a Mesorregião Sudoeste de Mato Grosso do Sul: um estudo propositivo

Resumo

Nos anos de 2006 e 2007 realizou-se uma pesquisa junto a consumidores, distribuidores, reflorestadoras e agricultores na Mesorregião Sudoeste de Mato Grosso do Sul, possibilitando a identificação de espécies frutíferas, arbóreas e culturas agrícolas de maior interesse na região. A partir dos resultados obtidos foram propostos diversos sistemas agroflorestais diversificados, três dos quais são destacados neste trabalho. Dois são sistemas agrissilviculturais, onde um visa principalmente a produção de frutas, madeiras e palmito e o outro tem como objetivo a produção de frutíferas (laranja, ponkan, manga e mamão), com o consórcio de algumas culturas agrícolas, espécies arbóreas e leguminosas. O terceiro sistema proposto é um sistema silvipastoril que tem como objetivo a criação de gado para produção de leite. Estes sistemas têm potencial para viabilizar a melhoria ambiental, social e econômica em pequenas propriedades rurais. Abstract: In the years of 2006 and 2007 a research was carried out with consumers, distributors, forest enterprises and farmers in Southwest Mesoregion of Mato Grosso do Sul state, making possible the identification of fruitful, arboreal and agricultural species with biggest interest in the area. From the obtained results several and diversified agroforestry systems were proposed, three of which are outstanding in this work. Two are agrisilvicultural systems where one has the production of fruits, wood and palm heart as the main objectives and the other the production of fruitful (orange, mango, papaya and others), with the consortium of some agricultural cultures, arboreal species and vegetables. Third proposed silvipastoril system to rase the cattle for production of milk. These systems have potential to make possible the environmental improvement, social and economical in small rural properties.
